The intervention sought to bring the past into the present, dignifying the memory of the building and renewing its essence. At Alecrim 51, renovations were based on enhancing existing historical elements - vaulted and decorated ceilings, tile panels, interior and exterior stonework, doors, and shutters. The creation of a central opening broke up the depth of the building, bringing a shaft of light into its interior. Together with the winter garden, this intervention gave new personality to the roof, with light being used as a key element for shaping the entire project.
