The intervention unifies the house’s architectural language and opens the interiors, enhancing their link with the outside.
The improved solar exposure and reorganisation of rooms reinforce the relationship with the surrounding garden.
The former semicircular, covered entrance, once marked by a pergola with circular pillars, gave way to a new proposal. Now, a reflecting pool follows the volume leading to the bedrooms, highlighting the striated slate cladding. The double-height entrance hall is lit by a peripheral clerestory that lifts the roof and expands the spatial experience. The reconfiguration of the south and west façades required resizing openings and adding skylights to the corridor, living room, conservatory, and bathrooms. The social areas are enlarged and linked through level shifts, a fireplace, and the conservatory, while maintaining a subtle division between private and living spaces.

Interior and exterior spaces connect through visual axes. A partially open south-facing canopy extends the living areas outside, creating a broad, integrated social zone. Different outdoor ambiences match the privacy levels of each room. The pool, aligned with the width of the living rooms and canopy, stretches towards the main bedroom, highlighting its prominence.
