Rivus is a residential project in Vilamoura establishing a continuous reading within an urban area in consolidation. Located in close proximity to Nobilus, another project currently under development by the practice, the proposal is organised into clear volumes set on a brick plinth, above which the upper floors adopt a lighter architectural language. Balconies structure the façades and extend the living space of each unit outdoors. The orientation and layout of the apartments prioritise the relationship with natural light and the exterior, with living areas opening to the south and more private spaces remaining sheltered. Underground parking frees the interior of the plot for a continuous system of green spaces and pedestrian routes. Landscape design plays a structuring role, ensuring privacy, continuity and quality of use.
