Sporting Clube de Portugal
The project was designed by FIA – Fenwick Iribarren Architects, a leading international studio in stadium architecture, and Fragmentos was brought on board as local architecture partner, overseeing the technical development, licensing processes, and full supervision of the construction works. The removal of the moat and expansion of the stands brought Supporters closer to the emotions of the pitch – a symbolic and functional move that strengthens the bond between the Sporting and its Fans. Hospitality areas were fully reimagined, with new lounges, integrated technology, and an upgraded food and beverage experience.

The transformation of the Sporting Museum blends memory and innovation to deliver an immersive experience that brings Fans closer to the Club’s most memorable moments. At the same time, improvements in accessibility, with more inclusive circulation and seating distributed throughout the stadium, and sustainability, such as the introduction of a rainwater harvesting system, point towards a more equitable and efficient future. A renovation that respects history, responds to the present, and prepares the stadium for the challenges ahead. An iconic stadium, an international partnership, and a unique opportunity to bring our expertise in sports architecture to the field.
