Sublime Comporta Sand
The Sublime Comporta Sand continues the iconic Sublime Comporta Terracota, expanding the hospitality experience with a sustainable approach that harmonises with the landscape. The goal is not to create a second hotel, but to enrich the Sublime experience. Developed in partnership with architect José Charrua, the project respects the morphology of the land, ensuring that nature precedes the design.

At the centre, a main core brings together the communal spaces (restaurants, bars, spa, and swimming pools) marking the arrival point. From there, paths lead to the accommodation units, fostering a fluid connection with the natural surroundings and reinforcing a balance between shared collective spaces and secluded and private ones.
The challenge was to evolve the original concept without losing its essence. The expansion is not limited to new accommodation units, but also introduces new amenities, such as a building for events (Forum) and the wellness centre (Aqua). The architectural language interprets the tradition of the region through cabin-shaped volumes, clad in wood and glass, with zinc roofs. The villas were designed as retreats for privacy and tranquillity, maintaining a direct relationship with the landscape. The materiality reinforces the commitment to authenticity: exposed wood and metal, and colours that allow visual integration with nature.
